Primary installation method

The primary path is a ready release archive. Building from source is a fallback for platforms outside the published asset matrix.

The download link always resolves to GitHub Latest rather than a hard-coded version. It will be enabled after the tag, source SHA, asset checksums, and platform quickstarts are verified.

Workspace initialization

From the directory that should own .sqlrs/:

sqlrs init

sqlrs init is idempotent for a valid existing workspace. It refuses an accidental nested workspace unless explicitly forced. Platform-specific snapshot choices are covered in the matching platform guide.
